Above, are the three draft designs that I created for my magazine cover. I believe that all three magazine covers conform and challenge the codes and conventions of a magazine cover. all three magazine covers show the min image situated in the centre of the page and although different dhots are used, this confirms a magazine cover as all magazine covers have an image situated in the middle of the page to catch the audiences attention. The masthead for the first magazine is the boldest and biggest whereas the masthead for the second and third aren't as bold. This is important because it gives the audience a sense of recognition and allows them to see what magazine it is. Furthermore, on all three magazine covers, the main image links back to the headline and sub headline, giving the audience a better understanding of the film and the magazine before looking at any other page. The magazines also consist of cover lines, barcodes, stickers, price, issue number and pictures. However, magazine cover 3 is the only one that shows a skyline.
